"CRASH" is a shot I worked extremely hard for. Late January on the Washington Coast can be brutal. On this particular day, a huge storm was approaching, sporting wind gusts of 70 mph and swells upwards of 26 feet. I stood out in these conditions for many hours waiting for just the right light to cast itself upon one of the large incoming waves. This area of the coast is known for its rip currents. When the tide is high, the swells are big and the frequency between swells is right, it can make for some spectacular shooting.
